The Pickups Update
Hello folks!
It’s time for another update to Bunker Björn. Today we give you: The pickups! You will have guessed it now: This update is all about picking up powerups.
Enemies and destructible props now have chances to drop pickups when destroyed. These come in the fantastic shape of glowing cubes and are colour coded.
They are not final and may change or get replaced and more pickups may be added. Now that that’s out of the way, lets get to it. Here’s a list:
Quad Damage:
As the name implies, collecting this will make your gun deal quadruple the damage as usual. You get about 100 shots before that effect runs off. It’s not time limited.
Movement Speed:
Makes you run really fast for a certain amount of time.
Health!:
Can’t miss the timeless classic. Heals you for 25% of your total health.
So what else did we change? Here’s a list of stuff.
- Added pickups (duh!)
- Removed some noise from the ground texture for the sake of better readbility
- Made the ambient light somewhat brighter for better readability
- You can now shoot up slopes
- Fixed player sometimes being destroyed when dungeon regenerates (causing the game to soft lock in the exit screen)
- Improved visibility of the player character (Björn has glowy red goggles now, because that’s cool)
- Improved exit door trigger
- Made exit door easier distinguishable as “thing to go to”
- Fixed the path indicator sometimes going through walls or closed room connectors
- Improved sounds
